Final piece of legislation for original Union Tank Car deal receives positive vote

With a positive vote on August 23, 2012, the last piece of legislation envisioned by the original Union Tank Car deal was put in place. The Board of Commissioners authorized the Executive Director to execute the second Amendment to Servitude of Passage to reflect the final alignment of a street constructed to access the new E1 industrial park at England Airpark. We would like to thank Union Tank Car for their help and cooperation through the years that made the Alexandria Union Tank Car facility possible. England Airpark is proud of the robust and vibrant operation at the plant. It is fitting that the newly constructed street has been authorized by the Board to be named after Mr. Elton Pody. Mr. Pody played a key role in attracting Union Tank Car to Central Louisiana. Thank you Union Tank Car for locating in our community and creating jobs for our area!
